Art Is My Bag
is a group show exploring the Art of Bags, about Bags, or
                    with Bags.
                  Art Is My Bag
started with the idea of art created from the everyday objects
that we take for granted, the things we throw away; and creating
environmental art. With that in mind I have invited several
artists to create Art of Bags, about Bags, or with Bags.
                  Artists ranging in
age from 9 years old to 73 were invited to create works that
explore humanity’s use of resources and the global impact
on the environment centered on the bag. The participants have
created a wide variety of work including conceptual pieces
                    - paintings and drawings about and including bags, sculpture,
collages using paper bags, installations, assemblage, weaving,
and knitting - that address subjects such as reuse and recycling,
global warming, power use, and identity.
                  The goal of Art
Is My Bag is to demonstrate the accessibility of art
and explore environmental art centered on an everyday object,
                    the bag.
                  Enjoy!
