47th Annual
Art Guild of Pacifica Exhibition
The Art
Guild of Pacifica is celebrating its 47th
annual exhibition at the Sanchez Art Center.
The exhibition opened with a reception and
awards ceremony on Friday, September 26. A
highlight each fall, the Art Guild’s
exhibition showcases some of the finest
painting, photography, mixed media, and
sculpture being created by local artists.
The exhibition was coordinated by
Taryn Smith and
the awards were selected by Ruth
Braunstein the
owner of the Braunstein/Quay
Gallery in San Francisco. When selecting the
awards Ms. Braunstein
said, “First of all I think the show looks
really great. I like
these kind of juried show that are
already hung and well-lit….The Art Guild
should be commended for that.” Four artists,
including Susan Bistline, Robert
McClay, John
Meria, and Susan
Rattenbury were selected to receive the
highest awards of excellence which include a
2006 exhibition at the Art Center. Merit
awards were given to Jan Bernard, Michael J.
Healey, Deborah
Lattimore, Rosemary Machado, Sylvia
Min, Judy Morley, and Elizabeth
Tocher. |
