In the East Gallery,
Jean Moore and family are pleased to exhibit selections from Jean
and Norman Moore’s extensive collection of Latin American Art gathered
in the 60s and 70s. Dedicated to deceased patriarch Norman, this
exhibition reflects a lifetime love of South America that goes back
a generation with the book History of Latin America written
by Norman’s father. Echoing work that could be found in the former
Moore Galleries on Sutter Street in San Francisco, opened by the
Moores in 1966, the exhibition features the work of artists from
Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Haiti, Mexico, and Peru.
